Tony’s first Beach Body product was a line of exercise videos called Great Body Guaranteed! It was soon followed by Power 90, Power Half Hour, Tony and the Kids!, Tony and the Folks!, Power 90X, 10 Minute Trainer, Tony Horton One On One, and for advanced fitness enthusiasts Power 90X Plus.

Rotating Your Way to Success
Perhaps the biggest strength with this program is the fact that there is variety to the max. With Tony releasing a new DVD every month, you are never going to be at a point in your workouts where you feel bored and in a rut. One of the biggest problems with fitness in today’s world is that people tend to get very discouraged with something in the long term and the lack of discipline and focus is what contributes to the downfall of fitness programs that in other cases might have worked. That is not a problem with the Tony Horton One on One program because of the fact that you are exercising differently with the passage of each month and in the end, that is something that is very easy to like about this pitch.

Motivating Your Way to Success
Another problem that many people have when working out is keeping motivation high, even if they are getting enough variety in their fitness regimes to remain interested. Fitness, even when done properly and with solid exercise technique, still does take awhile to show significant results and for that reason it is easy for a person to start with a high level of motivation and have that high level of motivation slowly collapse over the course of a few weeks. The argument with the Tony Horton One on One series is that this won’t be a problem because of the fact that you are seeing Tony workout in his natural environment. The reason this is important is because you know what Tony looks like and seeing him workout will allow people to mentally put two and two together, reasoning that what they are doing right now will give them results as long as they keep at it. This type of motivation has been shown to work in other situations and Tony Horton certainly deserves a lot of credit for giving it a try in this particular situation.

US$39.07 P90X Workout Extreme Fitness 13 DVD BoxSet
http://www.boxsetoffer.com/p90x-workout-extreme-fitness-13-dvd-boxset-p-32428.html

1. Chest & Back
A world-class upper body workout. P90X Chest and Back is all about the push and pull motion to cultivate a rock solid upper body. You’re going to want to hit the beach after this killer chest routine. (53 minutes).

2. Plyometrics
As is said in this video: “this workout is the X in P90X!” Plyometrics is jump training. Designed to teach your body to explode with high intensity cardio, this piece will develop your heart and lungs like no other. (59 minutes)

3. Shoulders & Arms
Ah, yes…the glamour routine. Shoulders and arms are everyone’s favorite, as they run exposed throughout most of the day. In this workout, Tony will make your arms jello and make your shoulders bulge! (59 minutes)

4. Yoga X
If you thought that Yoga X was time to take a break and relax, think again! Yoga X will have you flexing and balancing into positions you didn’t think possible. Tony calls this one the fountain of youth, renewing your body and mind. (60 minutes)

5. Legs & Back
Think about it – there’s no other muscles that are used more than legs and back. They’re the day to day muscles. Get ready as the P90X Legs and Back Workout delivers a strong focus to your glutes, hamstrings, quads, thighs, and calves. (93 minutes)

6. Kenpo X
So what is Kenpo anyway? Kenpo is defined as the “law of the fist.” Which is precisely what you’ll find here. Get ready to throw punches, elbows, and kicks as you bring it in this intense cardio DVD. (59 minutes)

7. X Stretch
Stretching, although constantly overlooked, is vital to the success of any extreme fitness regimen. Avoiding injury, increasing flexibility, and improving circulation are just a few of the great benefits of stretching before P90X. (59 minutes)

8. Core Synergistics
Attack the core, and the rest of the body follows suit. This is the mentality as P90X now uses cardio, resistance, and stretching to strengthen your body as a whole down to your core. (58 minutes)

9. Chest, Shoulders & Triceps
This total upper body workout will have you ready to strut around the beach! You will encorporate dips, push-ups and flys in this extreme home workout that will make you cry for more. (56 minutes)

10. Back & Biceps
Tighten up those biceps using either dumbells, resistance bands, or a pullup bar. Choose your resistance and reps to develop bulging biceps, or sexy, lean muscle! (52 minutes)

11. Cardio X
Get that heart pumping, blood flowing, and fat burning as you keep it moving for this intense 44 minute sweat-fest! No pushing pause on this one team – this is definitely the no fat zone! (44 minutes)

12. Ab Ripper X
There’s abs underneath those fat layers somewhere – it’s time to dig them out! This quick abdominal dvd is used as a supplement to your other workouts throughout the week. It’s an ab ripper, that is for sure! (16 minutes)

Plyometrics for hockey is one of the best training methods players can use while in the gym to see huge gains on theice. Plyometric exercises focus on jumping and bounding, and the value they provide to hockey players is immense. Plyometrics don’t require anything more than an open space to move about in, so there is no excuse to ignore it. Here are a couple of fantastic, simple exercises you can do at home or in the gym to improve your speed and power on the ice.

Squat Jumps:

Squat jumps are simple to perform and offer fantastic benefits. They might be simple, but they’ll tire you out! To do a squat jump simply lower yourself into a squat position, then explode upwards and raise your arms up over your head. When you land, lower back into a squat position and then repeat the sequence as many times as you can. Try to always be moving, the goal is to keep continuous movement.

Tuck Jumps:

Tuck jumps are also very simple to perform and revolve around jumping explosively. To do a tuck jump, start from a standing position and jump into the air. At the top of your jump, tuck your knees into your chest. When you land, try and keep your feet on the ground for as little time as possible before pushing off into another powerful jump. Again the focus is on constant explosive movement. You want to always be on the ground and still for as little as possible.

These exercises will greatly improve your foot speed and power. Remember, hockey is all about explosive movements, so don’t ignore your plyometrics. But these are only a couple of the many exercises you should be doing to maximize your on-ice performance. For a complete hockey specific plyometrics workout, go to http://www.tophockeytraining.com to check out Hockey Speed and Power by Kevin Miehm.

There may be some confusion on if there is a difference in two of Tony Horton’s workout programs. Although insanity workout and Power 90 sound a lot alike and do have some of the same basic principles, the two workouts are quite different.

The P90X workout program was developed after Power 90 and is based off the core of the program. But what Tony Horton did with P90X was he further developed the program for people who are looking for more of a challenge after completing Power 90. P90X has more intensity and can actually be used for the rest of your life due to the muscle confusion technique that Tony Horton employs in the program.

Tony Horton’s original workout Power 90 focuses on six weekly workouts that are approximately 30 minutes long. The program is designed to last 90 days. The workouts consist of some of the same exercises as cheap insanity workout such as Kempo, cardio, and Plyometrics, but are less intense. The program is designed to get you started on your way to a slim and toned body in 90 days.

However, the P90X workout program is more advanced and can last a lot longer than the 90 day program. The workouts in this program are extended to 60 minutes a day for 6 days out of the week. These workouts were designed by Tony Horton to push you to your absolute limits to change your body in that 90 day program.

Tony Horton also included 12 different workouts in the P90X program rather than six that are in the Power 90 one. Each of the workouts focuses on a specific area of the body or a certain genre of exercises. Just some of the 12 workouts included are: Kempo, Plyometrics, Yoga, Shoulders and Arms, Backs and Biceps, and Legs and Back.

One of the significant differences in these workouts is that P90X can be used over and over again as it uses muscle confusion to help you constantly evolve and reshape you body. With the exercises you can take it slower at first and as you gain more strength and power you can then add the more advanced techniques that Tony teaches in the DVDs. This makes it possible for you to continue on with the workouts well past 90 days, as you are always keeping your body confused, which means that you can avoid plateaus and constantly engage your body.

Some people may find that they rather start out with the Power 90 series first while others may want to jump right into the px90 insanity workout program. Tony Horton did not design P90X so that you have to buy Power 90 first. It is up to the individual person which route that they wish to take with their workout program.

13 How To Bring It ( Instructional dvd )

Insanity 60 day summary:
The Insanity ProgramrequiresNO weights,NO equipment. It’s the latest creation byShaun T and Beachbody. The only thing you need to bring with you is anInsaneattitude! Join me in my photo tour of the program. I’m like a kid at Christmas!
Since the program is based off the premise ofNO weightsandNO equipment. The inside cover shows a gym floor. The Plyo Cardio Circuit was done in this gym, and I have to assume the other workouts are as well. Nice picture of the gym. The page is actually a hard cover.
1: Dig Deeper
& Fit Test

10: Max Cardio Conditioning & Abs

Many of you know Shaun T from his wildly successful abdominal workout called Hip Hop Abs. Shaun T is now coming out with a brand new full body workout, set to DVD, called Insanity. Insanity takes exercise to a whole new level. Shaun brings all his knowledge to you through a workout video which targets your whole body. Not just your abs like Hip Hop Abs.

he P90X has been the standard in the fitness DVD world for extremely effective and intense workouts. Tony Horton created the p90x system over years of personally training people and perfecting the exercise moves to get you in shape quickly.

But now will Shaun T’s Insanity workout give the P90X a run for its money?

circuit training workoutThe p90x is a 90 day workout, which focuses on a technique called muscle confusion develop by Tony Horton. While Insanity is a 60 day workout that uses the Max Interval Training technique created by Shaun T.

Muscle Confusion is a technique that uses different workouts focused on the same muscle group. When you are working out and you hit a plateau that is because you are doing the same workouts for your muscles and your muscles get used to that and stop growing. Muscle Confusion eliminates plateaus, by always changing up the style of exercise for that particular muscle group.

Max Interval Training is a technique Shaun T developed to bring a high level of workout 90% of the time and spend only 10% of the time warming down. When someone typically exercises, let us say they go on a run, they will work out at a moderate pace 90% of the time. They will run for a certain distance and at the very end of the run they will sprint in order to maximize the end of the workout.

Max Interval Training changes that whole concept by switching it around. Instead of moderate workouts for 90% of the time you will get high energy and highly impactful workouts 90% of the time and spend the last 10% warming down and sealing in the growth of your muscles.

The two exercises have very different paths to getting you fit, but both have the same goal. That goal is to get people in the best shape of their lives. P90X has been proven over the last number of years, but Insanity has all the potential to be just as affective.

At this point Insanity is a 60 day workout plan. Will this change by the release date? We will see, but what most other workout programs say will take you 3 months to do, Shaun T says that Insanity can do in one third the time. He also says that Insanity is not going to be for everyone, because it is so intense.

Insanity with Shaun T is not out yet. It is coming out in the summer of 2009. Only time will tell if Shaun T’s new techniques and exercise styles will take him to the top of the home fitness DVD market.

~ A. What is the P90X Program?

P90X is an extreme home fitness system designed to effectively whip you into shape in a three month period. In 90 days fitness trainer Tony Horton will push you to levels you never thought were possible. Through a year of careful research and design, the P90X DVDs were handcrafted to create a muscle-toning, fat burning sensation that has taken the fitness world by storm.

P90X is a breakthrough fitness system designed for both men and women. Get absolutely ripped, or get lean long muscles based on the number of reps and resistance you choose for each routine. The system is flexible – allowing you to progress through the 90 Days at your own pace, but be prepared to work hard! With 12 extreme, heavy-hitting, muscle-pumping workouts, P90X is the most comprehensive home fitness system available on the market today. From intense weight training and advanced Plyometrics to Core Synergistics and Extreme Yoga, get ready to see results!

~ B. P90x Workouts Approach for Beginners

If you are new to P90X we recommend you spend the first 2-3 weeks doing each workout in moderation. Too many times people get injured or burnout because they are not in shape. Your body is going to go through a major transformation over 90 days, but it needs to be treated right. This is why we highly recommend doing each workout for about 50% of the time or “effort”. Let your body and mind get used to each workout before beginning the actual 90 days of p90x workouts.

~ C. How Does P90X Give Results? Muscle Confusion!

The P90X Program uses the advanced science of muscle confusion in arranging your daily workout. Muscle confusion is a training method that promotes variety and alternation in your training. This way, instead of reaching the dreaded plateau that so many encounter at a traditional gym, your body will constantly be responding to the new exercise being introduced daily.

P90X has taken the idea of muscle confusion to a new level. The traditional fitness program is designed to give immediate results, but, as explained above, will ultimately begin to level out over time as your body adapts. P90X has been designed in an effort to overcome this element of the plaetau effect, giving you 90 days of extreme home fitness that delivers proven results and promotes new muscle growth. (Which has made this program the number one best selling infomercial of all time!)

PREPARE YOUR MIND…Muscle confusion means this regimen will never get easy!

~ D. Twelve Unique Workouts to Tear You Up!

The P90X Workout Program includes 12 extreme workouts. Each p90x workout has a distinct role in creating a chiseled body and help you lose body fat and if you want to gain muscle mass.

The 12 p90x workouts when done in the order specified by BeachBody in their p90x workout schedule will keep the muscle confusion which in turn will burn more fat and build more muscle (either lean or mass up to you and again Tony explains this in each video). Stick to the 90 days, 6 days a week workouts and you won’t be sorry.

1. Chest & Back (53 minutes)
2. Plyometrics (59 minutes)
3. Shoulders & Arms (59 minutes)
4. Yoga X (60 minutes)
5. Legs & Back (93 minutes)
6. Kenpo X (59 minutes)
7. X Stretch (59 minutes)
8. Core Synergistics (58 minutes)
9. Chest, Shoulders & Triceps (56 minutes)
10. Back & Biceps (52 minutes)
11.

One of my favorite pastimes is playing basketball. I started playing way back in 5th grade and am still looking forward to playing until I graduate in college. After years of playing basketball, one obstacle regarding my vertical jumping has always worried me.

I was just an average basketball player because I could not jump very high. For the past many years, I have done different exercises just to increase my jump but none of these were helpful. I did weight training but it seemed that my muscles just kept weighing me down instead of propelling me up into the air. In spite of the years of executing exercises like leaps and squats, my jump was still just average.

And just last year, I already thought that I would remain average until the day that I read an article on plyometrics. As I was surfing the Internet, I saw an article which talked about the benefits of plyometrics and how this can increase any person’s jump. Plus, I also found lots of testimonials in the website which were accounts of different people regarding the benefits of plyometrics and how their jumps were really increased by it. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning so I decided to look for more testimonials. Indeed, I only found few testimonials saying that their jumps were not improved by plyometrics. From all the information that I got, I finally made up my mind to do plyometrics. And because this is my first time to do plyometrics, I definitely need a manual or mentor for guidance. I first looked for a mentor but can not find one. Therefore, the next thing that I searched for was a good plyometrics manual.

One of the manuals that I read about is the Jump Manual and I looked at its different features and benefits. I also looked for user reviews in order to find out how other people thought about the product. And because I only found very few negative user reviews on the Jump Manual, I took a closer look at the benefits and features of the product.

I definitely liked the different features of the Jump Manual: training video, iPod videos, nutritional program, free coaching for one month, money-back guarantee, individualized workout charts, and progress charts. The features of the Jump Manual make it a complete package on proper exercise and diet for any person who wants to improve his jump.

And the videos were a lot of help because I got to watch how to do the exercises. So, if there was anything that I did not understand with the manual, I can easily refer to the videos. And since I could download the videos into my iPod, I was able to see the videos wherever I was.

And even though I was not able to find a coach or trainer before, I instantly had an online coach when I purchased the Jump Manual. I learned so much more from the online coach so I decided to extend my subscription after the free one-month offer was finished.

In less than a month, I was experiencing astounding improvements in my vertical jumping. With the Jump Manual, I was able to achieve my goal in only a few weeks. Thanks to the Jump Manual for helping me be the basketball player that I always dreamed of becoming.

Do you also want to improve your <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://www.plyometrictraining.net/vertical-jumping.php”>vertical jumping</a> to become an extraordinary athlete? Buy Jump Manual today since this can definitely make you an extraordinary athlete.

One of my favorite hobbies is playing basketball. I have played basketball ever since the 5th grade and I plan to play until after I graduate from college. Sadly, I had one problem with regards to my vertical jumping and I did not know how to solve this.

Since I cannot jump really high, I was only categorized as an average basketball player. I have tried different exercises in order to increase my jump but to avail. With the years of weight training, it seemed that my muscles only kept me on the ground instead of high up in the air. My jump was still average regardless of the many leaps and squats that I did for so many years.

I thought that I will just remain average until the day that I read of plyometrics. While surfing the Internet, I came across a website which was talking about increasing one’s jump with the help of plyometrics. In addition to that, the website contained testimonials from various athletes who said that plyometrics helped them in increasing their jumps. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning so I decided to look for more testimonials. Indeed, I only found few testimonials saying that their jumps were not increased by plyometrics. And to find out more about the Jump Manual, I also looked for as many user reviews as I can. In my search, I rarely found negative reviews so I decided to take a closer look at the Jump Manual.

The various features of the Jump Manual like iPod videos, training video, nutritional program, free one-month coaching, individualized workout charts, money-back guarantee, and progress charts were really great. The features of the Jump Manual make it a complete package on proper exercise and diet for any person who wants to improve his jump.

The videos were a tremendous help since I was able to see how the exercises were done properly. If I had any problem with understanding the manual – although everything was well-written – I was able to easily view the videos. And being able to download the videos straight into my iPod, I can watch these wherever and whenever.

Aside from that, I was able to get an online coach through the free one-month coaching which came with the Jump Manual. The free one-month coaching was a lot of help that I decided to extend it after a month.

In less than one month, I was very happy to see great changes in my vertical jumping. What I was trying to do for the past many years, I was able to do with the Jump Manual in only a couple of weeks. Thanks to the Jump Manual because I am no longer an average basketball player since I started using it.

Do you also want to improve your vertical jumping to become an extraordinary athlete? Buy Jump Manual today since this can definitely make you an extraordinary athlete.

All athletes ranging from basketball, football, runners, and many other sports call for the need of a great vertical jump. A familiar way that athletes increase their vertical jump is through vertical plyometrics. This form of training involves the use of elevated boxes and quick agility repetitive exercises. This article will dive in to the art of this method.

The most effective training you can do to increase your vertical is the use of vertical plyometrics. Your reactive strength is highly increased with plyometrics. The reaction of a spring is the bodies’ reactive strength so to speak. You can react from one motion to another faster with the more reactive strength you posses.

To connect force and explosion power vertical plyometrics are the best form of exercise. To jump higher faster is the goal of this training by tuning and strengthen your leg muscle. They are relatively simple exercises and usually do not require any equipment, but they can give incredible results.

The increase to your vertical jump has been proven effective with plyometrics. You can not wait a moment if you want to dunk quicker you must use vertical plyometrics. Your workouts should always include some form of plyometrics. Plyometric leg exercises are supposed to be performed fast, so that means training slowly will get you nowhere.

In conclusion, there are great rewards to plyometrics to any athlete. As with any new exercise guidance is needed to prevent injury. Vertical plyometrics give athletes the ability to quickly react in the form a spring to bounce back into action on the next motion as a spring would bounce back.

Lately I have been asked why I should use vertical plyometrics. This a loaded question to say the least. Plyometrics do so much for your reactive quickness and works wonders on your vertical. Plyometrics can increase your vertical, reactive time, and tune up your leg muscles.

How high is your vertical? If your vertical is not least 30 inches then your vertical does not exist. The vertical for any competitive sport ranges from 30-50 inches. The best to attain this is to do vertical plyometrics. The plyometrics are highly designed to increase your vertical jump and when paired with the right program can easily increase your vertical in as little as two weeks.

Nothing is more needed to an athlete than a quick reactive time. Athletes need to be able to move quickly and go in to the next move. For instance, when a basketball player goes for a dunk as soon as he takes that last step, they are in automatic leap form to make that dunk. When hurdle jumpers jump that first hurdle the run for like 8-10 steps then they are jumping again with the quickness. This type of training comes from vertical plyometrics.

Vertical plyometrics are hindered on leg muscles. The strength of your leg muscles are automatically tuned and highly conditioned. This is required for the quickness and agility that is developed through plyometrics. So start working on your leg muscles.

In conclusion, I hope the questioned has been answered on to why to use vertical plyometrics. Athletes need this form of training to completely increase their vertical leap. Many coaches implement this form of exercise in their teams’ workout plan. My blog can have gearing up into plyometrics in no time.
